About the role:

Reporting to the General Manager Commercial, you will lead the delivery of high‑quality commercial support across the full contract lifecycle. You will partner closely with Contract Owners, the Commercial contracts team, and cross‑functional stakeholders to drive consistency, manage commercial risk, and optimise contract performance through quality document formulation.

This role will suit someone who is confident in interpreting and advising on contractual matters, sound understanding in application of legal terms, and passionate about uplifting commercial capability across the business.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal and commercial guidance on tender document structure, contracting and related administrative concepts.
  • Lead the review of contract departures and support stakeholders through contract development and negotiations.
  • Partner with Contract Owners, Commercial team members and support functions (Legal, HSE, People & Culture, SME’s) to ensure effective and compliant contract administration.
  • Provide guidance on contract rise-and-fall applications and associated commercial obligations.
  • Draft and issue formal communications relating to contract non‑performance.
  • Conduct post‑completion contract reviews.
  • Mentor and develop Commercial team members, enhancing their capability in contractual and commercial concepts.



What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Legal qualifications highly regarded.
  • Strong background in commercial advisory, contracts management or similar discipline.
  • Skilled in tendering processes, contract drafting and contract administration.
  • Able to interpret legal concepts and provide practical guidance to operational stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify commercial risk and drive sound decision‑making.
  • Passion for coaching and developing team capability.
  • Detail orientated with strong organisational skills
  • Previous mining sector experience will be advantageous
